Welcome to YinBloom Acupuncture

Philosophy & Treatment Approach

Women’s Health is the core of our practice.

The mission of YinBloom is to educate, empower and support women through the hormonal transitions of life, ranging from menstrual disorders, infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause.

We believe in partnering with patients to support the body’s own self-healing abilities. Understanding that in addition to treating symptoms or your main health concern, we also address the root cause of disease and disharmony.  We want women to feel like they are more than a diagnosis or lack thereof and to know they have control over their health complaints.  Whether that is correcting hormonal imbalances, alleviating symptoms or getting pregnant.

We offer a natural approach to women’s health, combining acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy, lab testing, as well as nutrition and lifestyle counseling. We understand that each patient has a unique pattern of symptoms that requires a unique and individualized plan of care.

Marie Gonzer

Clinic Owner & Practitioner

My interest in gynecology and fertility began twenty years ago when I experienced profound changes of my reproductive cycle with the use of Chinese medicine, which deepened my understanding that cycles are integrative, adaptable and self-healing if provided the right environment. I endured many struggles of being a woman including extreme PMS and painful, debilitating periods. After becoming a mom of two young children and enduring high-risk pregnancies, postpartum anxiety, lactation complications, and heavy postnatal periods. I want to use my experience to support women through their reproductive journeys.

I have been working in complementary healthcare for the past 17 years and specialize in the treatment of women’s health and fertility. My interest in holistic medicine practices started while earning my BA in Contemplative Psychology from Naropa University. I hold a Masters Degree of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from Pacific College of San Diego. I am certified in functional medicine through Functional Medicine University. I am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Colorado and board certified as Diplomate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

With considerable knowledge of and a deep respect for the complexity of the female reproductive system, I strive to empower women to understand their gynecology and fertility from a position of self-awareness, compassion and curiosity.

FAQs

Does Acupuncture Hurt?

When many people think of needles, they imagine the large needles used at the doctor’s office. Acupuncture needles are hair thin and are gently inserted. For some, a minimal sensation is sometimes experienced upon insertion. Most people experience a feeling of deep relation both during and after a treatment.

Is Acupuncture Safe?

Acupuncture involves the placement of thin needles below the surface of the skin to activate the body’s natural healing properties. At YinBloom Women’s Care we only use sterile, single use, disposable needles, which are regulated by the FDA.

We source our herbs carefully from distributors that ensure purity, safety and potency in herbal extracts by following standards of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) established by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and World Health Organization (WHO).
